New Mean Green starter won't turn Jeep over??

Hi,

Just installed a Mean Green starter on my 74 CJ5, and all I get when I turn the key is a click, checked my wiring ( I have a dedicated ground to one of the starter mounting bolts and the pos wire is going from the solenoid to the starter) new cables.
My old starter fires the jeep up with no problem, could I have a bad starter out of the box and how would I test it?

Thanks for any input.

Bad engine ground I would guess if the starter is good.
