New lift question - shackle angle question

I had a Black Diamond 3 inch lift installed on my 79 CJ7 in April of this year. Everything was replaced - springs, shackles, bushings, shocks, U-bolts and it has not been driven a whole lot this year - been working on other things on it.

My question is, and I know a picture would help alot, but the rear shackles seem to be leaning out alot more than the front shackles. The front shackles have a slight angle to them which is what I would expect. The rear shackles are pushed out quite a bit more than the fronts, I would say from memory maybe at a 45 degree angle.

Does that seem right that the rear shackles would be pushed out more than the front?

I will try to post some pics tonight.

If the Jeep itself sits pretty level, I wouldn't worry about it. Basically, you want the shackles to be slightly angled outward but not bottom out on the frame at full compression.

I have the BD 3" as well. I replaced my rears because they were sagging terribly after 2 years of use. I had the new set on less than a month and are now sagging. The shackle mount part of the spring is less than 1/4" away from the hanger itself. I called Black Diamond/Superlift and they agreed to send me new springs under warranty. I just had to go through the place I bought the lift from (4 Wheel Parts). On this second occasion I talked with 4 Wheel Parts and they are ordering a set of YJ rears since they are supposedly a little HD and 1/2" higher lift. I am hoping they are just a bolt and go with no issues. I have read that some YJ rears are much longer than the CJ rears, but that seems to vary by manufacturer. Hopefully they'll be in today.
