Need Help water pump double pulley wont line up with other belts

Please help me. I am at the very tail end of a restore of a 1975 CJ5. Among a long list of things I have done was to convert the jeep to power steering, and this is where my probelm lies. My jeep has a 258 straight 6, and I ordered a new PS gear box for a 1976, bolted on, no problems. Installed a new pump and brackets with no problems, but when I put on the new double pulley on the water pump (made for 76-86 CJs with 6 Cylinders) to power the pump, it wont line up. It sits about 1/4 of an inch too far forward. The pump pulley lines up perfectly with the pulley on the fly wheel. I even bought a second water pump pulley thinking perhaps they sent me the wrong one, but it was the same. Please help with any suggestions. I have been working on this jeep for 3 months solid and really want to get it on the road.
