Need help with painless harness on 360

So I'm in the middle of hooking up my new Painless wiring harness to my 83 CJ-7. I recently swapped in a 360 from an 87 Grand Wagoneer and I'm a little confused on the engine wiring. Does anyone have any insights into hooking this up to a 360?

Am I correct that the CJ came with a Duraspark ignition (CJ originally had the 258)? The 360 has a Ford coil on top so I'm assuming the Grand Wagoneers were equipped with Ford ignition systems.

Any help you can give is greatly appreciated. This is all just one step above my talent level (never been too good with ignitions).

(Also, where the heck would the ballast resistor be? Pretty sure I didn't see one when I took out the old harness.)

Is it a canister coil? My '78 360 has a slip on connector for the coil and it says Ford. It's the same as the 304s and 258s. I believe the newer ones are also the same, but not 100% sure

The 258 and 360 use the same Ford ignition. Should be no issues. The electronic ignition (duraspark) did not require the use of a ballast resistor. Ballast resistors are mainly used with points type ignitions.

Yep, canister coil. Good to know that I don't need the ballast resistor. Just trying to make sure I have all the wires hooked up correctly.
