Need help identifying transmission and t-case

I just bought a 1978 CJ-5. It has a 304 motor. The following is on the drivers side of the transmission "A-CP-OU". On the top there is "1 (followed by something that looks like a circle with the letter A inside the circle) then 3227078". I think it's a 3 speed but I'm not sure. The transfer case has a tag on the end of it with "300596-130 and underneath that is 5359089". I bought a Chiltons manual and I can't find any of these numbers in it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if the numbers are more than date codes or seriel numbers. Your trans code, including the 1A also shows up on some AMC 20s according to some other posters. You might try looking at the factory options on www.jeeptech.com . The trans could be a T150 and the transfer case could be a Dana 20. Good luck!

If everything is still stock you have a T-150 three speed tranny and a Dana 20 transfer case. The shift pattern on your tranny is.
