My super slow rebuild thread

Recently sold my Cherokee and purchased a 1979 CJ-7. As I have a full time job, a 2 year old daughter and twins due in October, along with a Honey-Do list not associated with this jeep, I can foresee this effort taking longer than I might hope for It currently has a:

Best Top soft top
I-6 232 CI
3 spd manual
33" tires
Moderate body rust
Moderate frame rust

It is my near term goal to:
Remove all of the bondo (This will aid to identify what sections need to be cut out and replaced... longer term)
Sand down to metal, prime and repaint the body a semi-gloss black.
Treat the frame rust.

Mid term goal:
strengthen points on the frame and body weakened by rust rot.
Replace driver and passenger seats
Install a radio

Longer term goals:
Replace damaged portions of the body and frame
Install a painless wire kit
Install a 4spd manual
Install a I-6 258CU re manufactured motor
Upgrade the axles
Add a hard top to my choices for tops
Add a Bikini top to my choices for tops
