I know what people say on here about RC, but the lift right out of the box rides better than the Jeep did before I put it on. I really like it, but I think I will like it more when I get it aligned and figure out whats going on with the castor geometry. So yes, it is just tires and a 4 inch lift basically. Also, consider getting your MTRs now with the goodyear rebate. I saved 160 bucks on mine with it.

That's cool! I actually am installing a 4" Rough Country lift with 1" body lift on mine. I'm not sure why so many people on this forum are so negative on them? I think it's like anything in life, "You get what you pay for". I went the cheap route on the suspension lift and don't mind if the ride is a little bumpier as this is just a toy and not a DD. I think I only paid around $439 or something including shocks and drop pitman arm so I'm not expecting the same quality as a $1200 kit.

Where did you find the best deal on your tires? I thought there was only a $100 Rebate? $160 sounds a lot better! I'm still in the middle of the rebuild on mine but plan on buying the tires and wheels before the rebate expires at the end of the month.

I think we have very similar taste in our CJ's. Mine is a 84 as well. Yours looks great! I can't wait to get mine back on the road.

Your Jeep is looking good diddy.
I think it's ironical that your ended up with one of the best tires and worst lift on the market.
If you want to smooth out that RC ride, try experimenting by dropping your air pressure.

The rebate is 160 if you use a Goodyear credit card. It was 80 if I didn't. I decided to just open up a credit card account and pay it off immediately. Made sense to me.

The lift discusion is funny to me. I hear different things from everyone. Some people say skyjacker is the best, some BDS, and then one of my friends, who owns an offroad shop, said I would be fine with rough country. Sure they are on the cheaper end, but the ride is better than what it used to be and the kit was complete. It came with the drop pitman arm and all the stuff I would need to complete the install. Skyjacker was much more with all the various parts needed, like the pitman arm, brake lines, and shackles. I paid less for everything I bought then the best price I could find for the skyjacker. I am fine with that. Good luck on your build. Mine is never ending. I forgot to get quick disconnects and I just ordered them up 10 minutes ago.

I just washed it so I figured I would snap some pics. Its also the first time I unzipped all the windows and took the doors off. It looks kind of cool I guess but I still prefer just a bikini top. Spare looks good I think.

Very nice Rig,

Here are some pics from yesterday. I have some parts to be installed in the next few weeks. They include: retro sound radio, new speakers for the dash and for the roll bar wedges I got, CB radio, hedman header, full exhaust, 2100 carb, intake, and a new bumper with D rings and 3 inch receiver.

I just had to put on a wreath for Christmas

The retrosound and CB are now installed. What a difference!!! The radio is great and the speakers sound awesome. I even managed to install a new HD steering shaft. That made a nice difference too.

I also finally picked up a winch. It has a new roller fairlead and works great. I have yet to install it. I will be picking myself up a warn winch plate sometime soon. I hope to have it on by the middle of march.

Cool! I never thought of that. Maybe I can get some from bestop? I will try the used route but I would think that most people would only sell as a complete top.
