Joonhoss,

Barring unforseen catastrophe, I guesstimate that I am roughly 24 to 48 hours away from shooting color.

R,
Clint

Getting set up for color. Going to push through tonight and try to shoot before going to bed.

It's actually taking me a lot longer to get to color than I thought it would; I fix one problem and discover two more. Now the big unveil is going to be anti-climatic. So, anyway, it's going to be GM "Sunburst Orange" metallic. I found it on an '06 Chevy and really liked it. It is sort of orangeish-copperish-metallic.

Sadly, my JEEP will now have something in common with the POS Chevy Cobalt:

Go figure. The one time during the whole project where my chassis has to sit outside overnight and the weatherman forecasts a thunderstorm. Argh!

I'm very happy with the color. Wish I could say the same about my body work. These pics don't really do the metallic justice. Unfortunately, due to an untimely spray gun malfunction I get to learn how to color sand later today; going to be practicing on the entire driver's side. I'd like to know what you guys think.

I love that color. how many coats are gonna go on? It's gonna look sick when you throw the clear coat on.

amazing bro. thats going to be an incredible finished product. seriously the clear coat will set that color off. or you could do a flat clear coat and keep it that shade of the orange. which would look great as well, very vintage.

Very Nice!

sort of a retro-Golden-Eagle circa 2007 color thing going on...

you are a braver man than I to try a metallic, your results will be worth it!

I'm sure you're plenty tired now, but just wait until you're done sanding!

Keep up the good work

Hoss

Man that color looks awesome! I think you will realize all the work you have to spend on the driver side will be well worth it. Keep up the good work!

Had a couple buddies come over and help me flip the tub tonight. Need to wet sand and shoot the cowl, then putting it back on the frame:

Yeah, that's reflection you see in the fender :
