One of the BBC Jeeps in our group used long tube 1 7/8" headers for a Chevelle with the stock frame. I believe they fit with no problems in his CJ7

Is the chassis able to cope with so much torque?

Even with beefy axles and shackles are there any mods to prevent the whole lot from parting company with the frame?

yes lots of extra bracing and added crossmembers and i started with a perfect frame. im sure in time it will fail when it does i think im going to build my own frame to handle it. but i will have fun while it lasts. anyway its huge on wow factor..lol
