As good as the TH400 is ... and I built mine with the best of the best...it can't do all that what A 4l80 will do without breaking a sweat

I have 3.73's and 35" Toyo's and I still want the engine running a lower RPM when my gas mileage is 6 miles to the gallon.
Right now I run out of redline RPM's and of axle gear at 135 MPH... I need OD
What drivetrain do you have making 900HP and running a converter with less than 2,800 flash?

Not sure what your asking?

Converter less than 2800 flash?

My current converter I got shafted on.. had a trans shop charge me $3K years ago for a full upgrade and never got what I paid for, right now I have about 1800-2000 stall just about stock... when I asked for a 2600 stall.

Right now I'm converting another TH400 to a switch/pitch converter and then modify a 4L80 converter to be used to gain TCC lockup.

Transfer case is a 1339 QT modified with 300M internals.

Axles are 44 waggys converted to 2007 big 44 gears and full float 300M shafts and joints. More than equal to Dana 60 axle specs for input torque.

Sounds nice! What do you use the Jeep for?
Just curious, but why did you ask for a 2,600RPM stall?

Street, offroad, hill climb, mall driving.

The stall is way too low for a rip rocking dead start, good thing it has lots of low end grunt to get moving.

With both front and rear four link suspemsion it just squats and goes, it would be better to get in the torque band for even better acceleration.

However on the opposite side then highway mileage suffers, as I think I've said before when I can only get 6 1/2 miles to the gallon of gas so I'm trying for any kind of economy i can get.

Not so much for cost of the gas but even with a 25 gallon fuel tank filling up every 140 miles on a road trip gets old real quick.

Horsepower and fuel economy dont go together. Chances are that you lower rpm at hiway speed it's not going to get better.

I wouldn't think that combo would be any good for offroad, or at least what I would guess you mean by offroad (trails/rocks/etc.). I guess I would have expected anybody with a engine setup like that, a custom converter would have been built to suit the rest of the combo to get the most out of it.
