Thats where its at. For every Golden Eagle, Laredo, or Renegade, theres 10 average colored standard CJs. I think it has to do with the personal attachment to something different.

I know I would personally love to have a golden eagle CJ7 even if it wasnt 'origional' and I had to put it together myself. People are willing to pay a little more for something thats different and complete. I dont think it has to do with origional Cj #s and body styles, its that its cool seeing something different so people are usually willing to pay more for it.

IMHO

Ben

There's a lot of passion here on the CJ forum =P

I think i'm going to let the seats, buttons, and visors go to auction starting this week. The value is obviously variable, as with any "collectors" item.

I'd sit on 'em, but id rather see them with someone who can appreciate them.

What do you think?

Is'nt everbody...Those were top of line jeeps with alot of options...great looking.. Even rough jeeps with those models bring big money. This one went for 8k a couple of weeks ago....It needs total resto...Has dents, rust, Was in a fender bender at one time. Ripped up seats. The list goes on .But it does appear to be a unrestored eagle and it was good enough evidence for the buyer...

I've got an '82 in the garage that I ripped down to the frame before I got my '76. I was trying to decide what to do with it now that I already own a CJ7. I may restore it totally stock as a golden eagle. I love the way they look.

My '76 started out as a Levi but the previous owner threw out the original front seats and looks as if the dog used the back as a chew toy. The hood was replaced at some point with a new one so all I had left was the Levi stickers on the sides, the brown paint that I hate, chewed up rear seat, and a nutmeg dash pad in decent condition that is now hanging in my bonus room. Maybe I should sell it???

As we speak, the Jeep is at the painter. It will be Harley orange and black inside and out when completed. There will be no evidence of the Levi package. Do I care? Heck no!

Thats why jeeps are so cool...you can do whatever you want with them... They look great in any restored state....

I feel the urge to get 'SUPER CHICKEN' decals made and put them on my hood with a golden eagle stripe kit
