just rolled 90,000 miles today...and, last week, I had to put the doors/hardtop on for Fall/Winter which is always a sad thing...lastly, I need to replace my pressure line on the power steering system...I HATE messing with the power steering system, it's always a pain for me...

And it's always messy. Weather here is absolutely perfect! Wish it was like this all the time.

If you do end up replacing the RMS, I can reccomend one piece of advice I got: Let the oil drain for at least 24 hours. I would go for a a couple of days if possible. Even after a week of sitting without an oil pan, I'm still seeing a small puddle of oil under the engine.

Another quick update, a few weeks back I re-tightened all the bolts that secure the oil pan and, to my surprise, that has taken care of the majority of leaks! I can now really focus on the RMS to see if that is leaking bad enough to have to replace. My biggest leaky mess is my power steering pressure line which I am replacing this week...

Gladly, I have always wants a real "CJ"...Crabtree Jeep

replaced a leaky power steering pressure line with a real one! That was the last of the major leaks...I do believe my RMS is holding tight...

In summary, over the last 12 months, I replaced valve cover/gasket (thanks Ken4444), re-tightened up all oil-pan bolts and replaced power steering pressure line to eliminate my leaks. I guess now I need to focus on the re-painting the hood...

Is it fading out, Mike? It looks good in your pics. If you paint the hood you will end up painting the Jeep! OH BOY!

the hood is terribly oxidized to the point that primer is all that is protecting the bare metal in spots. For now, I will just spray the hood...the rest of the Jeep can wait until one day when I have time, energy and $$ to really do a number on it...

Don't the Giants have any long-ball hitting lefties any more?

Back in the day when Bonds was ripping balls into the water, you didn't see those fancy boats that close to the stadium. Ha.

not too many splash hits these days...there were plenty of kayaks, paddle surfers and row boats out there waiting for something to come over the wall...SFPD on jet skis too...
