Thanks Jim. I didn't have any scrap wider so I used a couple of pieces from my scrap pile of material I use for my welding together my bee hive stands.

Yes, a welder is a very handy tool indeed!

why do CJ's love to leave their marks?

I have tracked down yet another leak, this time a pretty constant one that has grabbed my attention. Turns out it is coming from the hole in the distributor that is used with a locking pin when it is shipped new before installation. The hole is circled in red in the picture. The bushing inside the distributor is shot and oil is coming up into the body of the dizzy and coming out that hole...dang! Keep in mind, too, this is a dizzy from a '95 YJ due to my MOPAR fuel injection kit from HESCO. Due I dare be a CJ snob and blame the YJ itself because it certainly can't be the CJ's fault? Dizzy is 9 years old and has about 50k miles on it...at least I found this leak and it is an easy fix...

Yesterday I also had to weld up a small hole in my exhaust pipe from the previous installation a few years back. I was worried I would burn through the pipe pretty quickly but my Lincoln Electric 180 mig dialed me in perfectly.

I have yet had time to flip my drag link and install my new tie rod. I hope to get that done soon.

That's a first I've seen on that. Hard pressed to think it's the YJ's fault .

Mine is stock from '93 with 305K miles. Easy fix like you said though. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Lou. BTW, my wife and I were in Nashville this past September, I could easily live there. Loved everything about it, especially the music...

I think you should move to Nashville
Glad you found the problem with the leaking, don't want to see you go to the dark side and get TJ.....I mean you've started that way already with that YJ dizzy.

Hey Mike,

My wife and I were in Nashville right after Christmas. She won a trip through Ram Trucks to go the "Ram Jam". Pretty cool with front row seats having Brantley Gilbert, Kellie Pickler, Easton Corban, Billy Currington and Zac Brown Band play for you...Broadway, downtown, was crazy with band or two in each bar or club...Great town with great people!

Then we drove to her brothers house a couple of hours away to punch holes in paper with his AR's, Glocks and other fun semi's ...

We went to Zac Brown's 2nd Annual 2 day Food and Music Festival in September. After the shows were over we crawled over to the honky tonks and just had a blast...reminded me some of both Bull's and McLintock's on a Thursday night back during the salad days...the highlight was Zac Brown Band, John Mayer, Sheryl Crow and Gregg Allman all onstage together playing Allman Bros tunes...epic!

I wouldn't dream of pulling a Lucdog or SonicR1!

My wife and I are planning on going sometime in March. We have been only once passing through but we want the whole experience.

In February we have a trip planned for Asheville, NC. When you drive there the view of the Smokies is amazing...plus Asheville has great beer.

Let me know if you ever end up in Knoxville.
