Moving to South Carolina
In the Lancaster area. My parents are retiring to Sun City and they need me around to keep an eye on them.

Is there is good Jeep or 4x4 shop in the Lancaster/Rock Hill/Fort Mill area?

Any good places or off-road or ride an ATV?

You have Uwharrie in North Carolina and Gulches in SC, those are the biggest ones this close, but there are other little place i bet locals will know. There are a couple of shops in Columbia down the road from Rock Hill.

Thank you for the info. We love the country so we will be just outside of Lancaster to the east...what would be the closest decent shop if I needed some work done?

I am not sure what is in charlotte for shops, but CFS offroad is in downtown columbia, pretty much straight down I77.

Back in the day I ordered some parts from 4wheelparts in charlotte. They had good prices, but I've never had them do any work, so I really don't know...I do know a guy who knows a guy that is starting a fab shop in concord, nc. I think he'll be able to do a lot once he's fully operational.

Correction: I used tarheel4wd on N.Tryon in charlotte and not the other I said.

The guys at USA Tire in Fort Mill have an excellent mechanic named Richard. Has an XJ and has done work on my CJ. I have been very pleased with his work. He has been an auto mechanic for ~ 35 years.
