Motorcraft 2100 jet suggestions wanted.

I am putting the MC2100 on a 4.2/tf999 combo. I am at 550ft elevation. The driving habits it sees are daily driving and no wheeling. I will occasionally pull a small trailer with a mower on it. The carb had #47 jets in it but one is stripped and I plan to replace it because I am a perfectionist. I have been googling and know many use the 47. I do not know if a 46 would be better or on the small side. Any input is appreciated.

Jets

I would go #47. Mine runs great. Would not want to go to lean.

I was able to get the old jet out with an easy out. Now I need to order the new ones. One vote for #47.

I need to look at what jets I have.
With 1.21 carb it rund perfect, but mpg suggests out if easy to rich.
10 to 12 is my best guess from driving it to work...
Even with 31x10.50's and stock 3.73 it should do better with a 258 imo.

I have 46's in one Jeep, 47's in the other. I honestly can't really tell a difference. The one with 47's has a header and is bored .30 over though, so the engines are slightly different.

I think you'd be fine with either. Better to be a hair rich than a hair lean, so I'd stick to 47's if it were me.

Thanks for the good info. I ordered some 46's and am going to start with that. I will adjust to 47's if needed.
