motor mount engine brackets

Good morning everybody! I finally got my amc 360/t18 combo ready to drop into my 82' cj-7. It originally had the 258. I bought the v-8 motor mounts, and the v-8 passenger side frame mount. The 360 is from an 81' jeep truck. I cant' seem to get the engine to fit. I did reuse the brackets that actually bolt to the engine. My question is are the engine brackets from a jeep truck with a v-8 the same as the the ones for a v-8 cj-7, or do I need cj-7 v-8 engine brackets? Any help would be grately appreciated. Thank You.

Those brackets are different, I've heard. I used the MORE Bombproof mounts, they replace everything between the engine block and frame.

I ran into the same problem when swapping in a 360 for a 258. I'm guessing the truck frames are wider and that's why the engine mounts don't work. anyway, all the v8 in the CJs have the same motor mounts, so i found a set from a 304.

The block mounts are different as well. These are the brackets that bolt directly on the block. You need V-8 CJ mounts. You can get them on E-bay or
