Dang, even $650 would have been a great price.

Still doesn't beat the deal I got on my Scrambler, though.

Silly question, why didn't you take the Jeep to pick it up? I would have just thrown it up on the Jeep and clamped it down.

I paid $400 for mine, it was in a lot worse condition. A quick sanding and two coats of monstaliner and it was good as new.

Great find, it looks in very good condition and, as you know, is quite rare.

Great find and even a better deal for you.

But I would not call it "The Most Epic Craigslist Find Ever" as far as Jeep parts go. Spitoon has you beat by a long shot by finding a brand new, factory original, e-coated, unmolested, 100% all AMC/Jeep CJ-7 body tub. Found on our local Craigslist in SE Pennsylvania from an owner of a storage facility who's renter owed him money. Got the body AND a 1983 Jeep CJ-7, with title, for under $2000.00. Just finding an original body is a miracle in itself.

Wow! He could probably sell that to Rommel Juan for a mint but it's too good to let go of.
