Glad to hear that Jenn is on the road to recovery. Those are tough, scary ordeals to endure. Good job keeping it all together, MoC.

Well today's a special day, it marks officially 6 years of my wife putting up with me! Jenn worked last night so she is spending the day sleeping. We have reservations tonight at 6 and then are meeting some friends out after for drinks.

Got the shop mostly cleaned and organized this week. Fingers crossed for some good weather next week so I can get it painted. Planning on spraying it all.

Was poking around on the 80 cj5, soon to be parted out jeep, and found something interesting. A some point someone swapped the frame out with a 76 frame. This thing is in such bad shape it's hard to believe someone actually cared enough to swap frames. It answers a question though. The iron duke has ps pump brackets but the steering box is a manuel and the lower shaft has been rigged. Guess they did not swap over the ps when they did the frame. Engine, tcase, axles, tub, tranny were all swapped.

Anyway just rambling on here...

Marriage is either the best thing or the worst thing. My wife has been putting up with me for 32 years. Good to get a status report on the shop. Post pictures over on the shop thread.

Thanks Glenn. Just realized today is 5 months since my 360 has been painted and ready to get dropped in. Thinking it will be about 4 more weekends and I am going to get started on that. Guess between the shop and these 3 parts jeeps I have gotten a little distracted.

Hey MoC,

Sorry your wife's feeling poorly.

Finally getting around to installing the timing cover I got from you, decide to change the distributor drive gear and I noticed that the fuel pump eccentric has the word "REAR" facing the front of the engine toward the distributor drive gear not the camshaft sprocket is this a problem? Glad to see shop is coming along better than my jeep.

I saw the thread and the responses you got are good. I would 100% change the chain since you are already there and you said it has slack.

Had to much fun last night and we both were suffering through the day. Blew off the shop working today. Racked some leaves, sold a frame, and went jeep riding around town for a while. It was in the low 70's with not a cloud in the sky.

Well decided to bite the bullet today and make a desision on my headers / manifolds. I returned the Elderbrock Shorties I bought that were the wrong part number a few months ago and had a store credit. Decided go big or go home so I bought a set of Doug Thorly Tri-y's.

Just ready to get moving with it. Between buying 3 other jeeps and doubling my storage I got a little side tracked. Going to slowly plug away at all the other stuff I have do first and in no time be ready to get started. Once I get going planning on hitting it hard and getting done quick.

On a side note I took Jenn to see Act of Valor at the movie theater for the a 11am movie. It was a really good movie and I highly recommend it.
