That is one of the coolest pictures I think I have ever seen!! How many takes were necessary in order to get the dead dog in the frame!? You are truly a man of rare talent!

Anymore pics tonight???

Took that one the first try one handed with the iPhone.

Long day. Got it home and unloaded. It is for sure the worst off of the 3 I have gotten so far. Lots if rust and missing small parts. Lots if hacked up frame work ad well. Still will make a little money on it.

Stuck a battery on it when I got home and the old girl turned over. Maybe there is hope it will run. Brakes are shot.

Hauled a big pile of construction debris up to the curb and am done for the day. Some additional pictures for viewing enjoyment...

Also had a cool idea for a jeep art project. Going to cut from front of the door to the fender out on each side. The panel I cut will be the flat portion and it will have the "jeep" stamp and a painted portion of the flames.

Had a good productive day today. Finished breaking down the 79 in to parts. The underside of the tub is in much better shape than I orignaly though and it will make a good replacement tub. Think I have worked a deal for the tub and frame so going to leave them under the carport till that happens in 4 weeks instead of putting them the storage unit.

Also spent a few minutes playing with the new 80 jeep. Charged a battery over night and hooked / rigged up a electric fuel pump today. Poured a little gas down the crab and the old Iron Duke fired right up on the second crank. It idled and ran which was pretty amazing. Did not let it run long, all the belts are off.

Got all my construction debris out the yard and out to the street. Going to wire in my outlets tomorrow night and pick up some shelves this week so I can start putting everything up. Soooo tired of this mess..

Boycotted the super bowl tonight. As a Saints and LSU fan my season really ended on bad notes and I decided after the last Saints game I was done for the year. Did not watch any of the playoffs either. Recorded the Super Bowl and started watching a hour and 1/2 late. Watched all the comericals and fast fowarded though the game.

Why do I have the feeling the new part of the shop will fill up quick. Always good to get things cleaned up a little.

I saw more of the half time show than anything else. I fell asleep for most of the game.

Well it has been a busy weekend. On Wednesday night at work the wifey started feeling bad. Really bad back pain cloudy urine. Thursday afternoon when she woke up she was feeling even worst but decided to go to work anyway. That night she started hurting really really bad and almost went to the ER at work. She came home a few hours early and went straight to bed with 100 fever. A doctor at work that night told her it was likely kidney stones and wrote her a scrip for some mild antibodies to help with any infection that was coming with it. Told her to stick to the bed and if the pain did not stop within a day to go see a doctor for a workup. A little history... back in the end of nov at her regular lady doctor visit the found a little blood in her urine and had her come back two weeks later for a recheck. The recheck still showed blood so she was supposed to go see a urologist but put it off and never got to it. Well... Friday afternoon things were not getting any better and she was still in bed but started throwing up and the fever started slowly climbing. I fell asleep on the sofa after the kids went to bed around 930 and right before that her fever was up to 101.9. I woke up at midnight and before going to bed decided to wake her up and check again. Much to my surprise her fever was at 106.1!!! 107.8 ish can lead to brain damage. She took some ibuprofen with peidolite and we rushed to the ER. By the time we got to the parking lot there it had come down to 105 and 5 minutes when they were processing her in it was down to 103. They ran a bunch of test, CT scan, etc. They concluded that she had one of the worst kidney infections they had seen. After 3 bags of fluids, morphine, antibodies, anti nauseate her fever was down to 101. The doctor who was seeing her said they normally would admit someone in the condition as my wife but since she is a nurse gave her the choice to stay or go. We decided to go and were back home by 5ish. Jenn has been in bed since they but slowly getting better. Fever is holding around 101, up to 103 last night for a short while, and the meds appear to be fighting the infection.

So all weekend I have been holding down the fort with some help from Mimi. Last night was the first of our three Mardi Gras parades here in Shreveport. Mimi watched Jenn and our 2.5 year old Liam while Gabby and I wend to the parade. It runs 2 blocks away from the house. -->Mardi Gras History<-- for those who dont know what it is. I was born and raised in New Orleans and it was a big part of my childhood. Here in Shreveport it is much smaller in size and more kid friendly that areas of New Orleans.

Anyway.. Just sharing with you guys.. If anyone prays a prayer for Jennipher and her speedy recovery would be much appreciated.

Man that is sad and painful to read about, I have had the kidney stones several times and they brought on the most intense pain I ever felt but it didn't include the complications of a sky high fever and nausea. Looks like she has a great back-up plan in *MoC* and I see you have taken care of the wife, kids and all the other business called life.

Wish her well and!!!

The kids are cuties, I bet they had a total blast at the parade
