Well heading out tomorrow morning and getting my this gem. 1980 with a 4 banger. The price is right and it's only 4 hours away. Maybe I can get $280 for the clutch fork!?! :-)

Hoping it does not get sold out from under me like the one before last..

I planted my seeds a couple weeks ago... I should be finished with my raised bed planters for them this weekend. I dont see Houston getting a hard freeze this winter so they might be going in the ground by mid feb.

Nice looking '5! Is this another part out or is it getting built?

It's a part out. From what I have been told tub is done. Guy got it in a trade last week does not know if it runs. Thinking it is going to be rougher than the pictures look. I will spend a few hours trying to see if it will start, if not it's parts. Already have a buyer on the short shaft d300. Paying $500 for it.

I am germinating the seeds inside and hope to have them under the lights for at least 60 days.

I am concentrating on peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers this year. I will grow one Habanero, 7-Pot, Fatali and Bulgarian Carrot <<< good pepper, about like a Serrano but much better flavor. I will have multiple plants from seeds I saved from Hatch peppers sold by HEB this past year; they were fantastic, long green hot peppers. I will also plant multiple hot Cherry Peppers for my daughter.

My seeds will germinate faster if I keep them wet, I started them Sunday but twice this week I found the paper towel dry so I need to check them daily.

I'm doing Jalapeno, Red Bell, And Bhut Jolokia (Just for the heck of it), along with some lebanese tomatoes a coworker brought back, cucumbers, beets, and cauliflower. This is my first time doing the last two on the list...

Mine have just been getting light on a window sill the last few weeks but should be ready to go outdoors soon.

We should have a "peppers/tomatoes/and things tasty" thread for those CJ guys that share this as a hobby.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

I recommend germinating in the Jiffy 7 seedling trays. They're about $4 at WM. Once the seedling is big enough you just plant the whole cell. Germinating in a paper towel is risky at transplant. But if you really like to do it that way, they will germ faster in the dark. Put them in a cupboard, but keep an eye on the moisture.

edit: Oh yeah... cool deal, MoC! I hope it works out for you. Frame looks rough in the pics.

Well got the trailer hooked up and the truck gassed up. Sealed the deal and got the price down to $450 and should be pulling up to his place by 9am.

As the story goes it ran a few years ago before it threw a belt. I dont have high hopes for the frame and body.

Looks like its got a pimp 3" body lift.

You should be back home in no time. The flames will make the trailer go faster!

They will make me drive faster so less people see me with a jeep that has flames on the hood!!

You don't know how many times I've driven as far as several states away, to buy something for a jeep, with high expectations that I've scored really big....only to be let down afterward.

I'm my own worst enemy...
