File a police report and ask the store if they have surveillance of the lot.
I have gone that route before, store surveillance is there for the stores protection, not customers, they are very reluctant to reviel what they see and generally it is of their property, not parking lots with customer vehicles.
Not much that can be done other that fix it, If I were you If you can do not file a claim, fix it yourself (pay for) as insurance companies now keep records for five years an this claim although not your fault if they pay money will hold it against you.
I had a no fault accident where I was teeboned by someone running a red light witnessed by a cop and the insurance company holds it against me as a no fault state, my company paid for my medical bills
Make the report. Maybe, depending on which agency, they will follow up on that video. Ask the store if the area it was parked in was even covered or just go look. Videos are not 100% but we have followed (through videos) a suspect from the car, into the store, where they are eventually id'ed through a purchase or something. Trust me, people like this are not very bright. Anyway, good luck with your hunt.
That sucks Moc. You can't have anything nice anymore with someone else tearing it up.
Probably someone along the lines of the jerks sitting outside my office door *****ing because they're having to wait for their FREE medical care. The military is doing an IRT mission here where the military medics and dentists train by treating the public in underserved areas. That means free health care. Not only are the people constantly *****ing about having to wait, but they went in a pilfered the snacks and drinks we set out for the military folks who are here serving.
I fear what this country will be in another 10 years, especially while raising two little girls.

The dent arrived home at 7. I am 100% convinced someone hit it with the bottom of their fist. Not a single scratch in the paint or sharp bend in the metal like you would expect to see from physical damage like a ladder or other car part. The reflections in the picture make it look like the paint is damaged.
Filed it with the insurance company at lunch and we will be covered under our comprehensive so it will not show up as an actual accident. A friend is our agent am I am so glad he talked me in to the extra $9 a month for the $0 deductible.
I did call the store and they are under renovations so their cameras are not up and running.
Even though its covered I am HOT about it. Hope he's choking as I type....
