Almost look like YJ seats that have been redone. Nice looking whatever they came out of. Any way you can verify what they came out of?

Have not gotten much done recently. Got my relays mostly wired in but have been sick these last few days.

Made a junkyard run this morning and came back with everything I wanted.

- YJ family bar
- 3 ground bars
- 3 of the retractable lights
- 2 other lights that I just snagged that look like the factory cj ones

My generator fought me and I have to get all MacGyver in it. First the stupid pull cord spooler shattered. Took it apart and was able to spool the cord around a part and pull still. Then with only 2 roll bar bolts to cut it started stuttering and quit running. After a little looking found a fuel line that was cracked and sucking air. Pulled a line from a junk car and patched it back.
What did you get the CJ looking-ish lights out of?

Same as the bus bars and spool lights, early to mid 90's GMC / Chevy trucks.

Planning on starting this thing on Sunday. My time has been a little limited but here is where I have gotten since I last checked in.

Fender braces and canister rock guard are in.

Got tired of seeing the paint chip on my hood prop rod so I cut some vac line and fixed that problem. Had to drill the lower bracket a little bigger so it would fit.

Radiator and most of the water lines went in.

Got a chunk of electrical work done. I got my relays and head light wiring harness finished up and the lights and buckets back in.

Stuck the relays down on the passenger side inner fender. Still need to get some of the wiring in to conduit, but I am waiting till the engine wiring harness goes in.

The fuse panel for the lights below the interior fuse panel.

I stuck another fuse panel above the center hump under the dash.

Planing on running my cigarette lighter, stereo, and under hood lighting system off of it.

Stuck two 30 amp circuit breakers on the other side of the fire wall. They power the two new fuse panels.

Also got my ground bus bar hooked up.

A few other pictures.

So the list is now pretty short.

- Some misc odds and ends like the rad overflow bottle, wiper bottle, one more heater hose, side mirrors painted and installed.
- I have some touch up / corrective painting to do. Bolt heads and a few spots that I scraped.
- Install the engine harness. Its in good shape just need to lengthen / shorten a few wires, and remove a few things, and stick it all in conduit.
- Wire up my under hood lights and move the cigarette lighter and stereo wiring over to the new panel.

Looksike for a good location. For the reel light, easy to get to when using the hood prop rod. How are the lights turned on that are under the hood?

I know your mounting the MSD on the firewall. Just wondering if you checked clearance with the air cleaner.

The two lights in the hood have mercury switches and come on when the hood is open.

I was wondering about the MSD myself. The back up plan is moving it down to the fender.

Looks good and you can never have enough lights under the hood on a CJ!
