MC2100 Jet survey...what do you run?

For those of you who run the MC2100 on your 258, I'm curious if anyone runs bigger jets (than the recommended 47-48's). I tried 47's back a while ago and it felt very sluggish. Currently, I'm running 50's and I may try 52's. I'm not too concerned about gas milage, and my plugs look nice and tan.

So anyone else out there satisfied with 1.08 venturi plus 50 or bigger jets?

That's weird. I'm running 47's and mine's running a bit rich. I've got some 46's and thought I might try to swap ONE 46 in and leave one 47 in to see if that helps. Mine's not bad, but it makes me stink when I drive it.

Now my weber equipped Jeep, that thing is blowing black smoke. Gonna take it off tomorrow to put a kit in there and rejet it as well.

I'm running 49's and it runs rich. My idle mixture screws are 1 turn out and my accelerator pump linkage is in the 2nd hole from the top. Even with it running a little rich, I love this carb.

#47 jets here and running rich. I'm running the 1.14 venturi since that size was recommended from the seller on e-bay that I bought it from.

I'm running 51.5 custom made jets here. I made them myself because I got tired of buying bigger jets. Started with #46 and worked my way up. It ran lean until 50 and then I stepped it up to 51.5. I am happy with the plugs so far.

The venturi size will also cause the jets to different from person to person. I run a 1.08 with 47 jets and am rich.

As well as altitude. I am about at sea level and was rich with 47s and 1.08 venturi. Running 46s now and it is way better! Plenty of power and get up and go.

running a 2150 1.21 venturi with 52 jets. Still runs a little rich but works great as a DD, not so much on the steep steep hills.

lol, yeah. I only put it on there because I happen to have it from my old 78 bronco. I have a 1.08 now, just havent put it on. The 1.21 can be tuned to work. Though few, some have done it successfully. Mine is "sort of" successfull

About sea level also, maybe a bit higher as I'm west of NoVA. 47's and 1.08. Running the HEI/TFI hybrid so maybe the fat spark helps to keep it from running rich.
