Mastercraft seats sitting a little high

I just installed a set of Mastercraft Baja seats and noticed they sit higher than my factory seats. Were my factory seats that worn out or is that just how they are made? They are comfortable but just different.

They sit higher than stock. I removed the sliding mechanism from the riser to lower them about a half inch. Not ideal.

Yep. I took out the slider, and the seat bolts right up to the factory brackets. It will be positioned as if the slider were in the rearmost position, but lower. I'm 6'-2" and just about had to duck to see out the windshield. Without the slider it's just about perfect.

So whats the distance y'all have from the top of the seat bottom to where it mounts to the floor board? After driving around in it some today, I still think they are sitting too high.

I never actually measured the old seat height compared to the new with/without the slider. It still feels high, but it's comfortable for me.

My seats set too high on the factory mounts, I used a set of corbeau brackets and was able to keep the slider and it leveled them out because they were tilted back on the factory brackets and I could barely get my leg between the seat and steering wheel.

This seems to be a problem with the aftermarket seats. At 6'-1", I must also duck my head down in order to see traffic lights because my Rampage seats sit up higher than the OEM ones. I don't know if it is the new seats or seat riser that are causing the problem but I have been thinking of removing the seat sliders on both sides to bring them back down. Removing the sliders will lower my seats 1-1/2".

So the Corbeau brackets are lower than factory? Or just tilted?

Lower and tilted a little to allow the aftermarket seats to sit like they should

I am in the same boat as everyone lese, I'm 6'2" and I'm fine with the driver side and no slider (it's a bit high, but after 3 years I'm used to it.... anyone shorter ((my son)) has a hard time driving though )

For the passenger side I got a YJ mount (seat bracket) and it's about 1-2 inches lower than a CJ's I have a slider on that side and it's good.
