Was the manuel power steering part of the Mexico Especial package?

Napa, jeep4x4center, quadratec, oreilly, gatozone, etc.... Just pick which one you like best or which one has the best price. Pick a jeep from 1999 with a 4.0L and tell them you need the pressure hose and return hose. I looked at XJ (cherokee) when I searched for PS hoses for 99 4.0... but I am sure others are similar.

Another option is to find a Parker Store. Normally they will do build-to-order custom lines while you stand there, they and carry pretty much any kind of hydraulic part you can think of.

Napa can make you a custom length hose with fittings for about $50 for the pressure line. Just call the and ask if they do it or one of the other shops do. The "truck" shop is the one you're looking for, at least it is here in SD.

The return line can just be a normal fuel hose with a hose clamp, so long as you have the fittings. If not, hit up a junkyard.

This shouldn't be too hard...........

Use trans fluid hose, not fuel line.

The hose for an 80+ CJ with a 6 cylinder should work just fine.

The hoses I've found are to short or have a bent hard section in them

What does the 99 4.0 come out of? Where does the steering pump sit on the motor? If you don't know for sure where the motor came from, some pictures of the motor and pump mount might help.

the motor came out of a 99 xj. the pump sit in about the same spot but the perssure fitting is directly on top on the pump, behind the pully and the return fitting is on the back side. the return line isnt a problem. the factory cj pressure line isnt long enough and the xj line has a hell of a bend in it.
