Magic Tools?????

I was wondering if anyone else on here has any tools that just get up and walk out of the garage?

I just started a resto. on my CJ5 that ive been the proud owner of for 12 years and have noticed all my tools are disappearing and that is the only thing draining my wallet is going to buy more tools.
I havnt been a member here very long but some of the threads on here have really helped and make me feel how lucky I am to have a 78 that the only rust I have to deal with is the windsheild frame. Ill post picks soon it just wont be as interesting as some of the other hard builds Ive seen on hear.

X2 on that one. I was using a 3/4" socket on a bearing cap the other day, it popped off the extension, I heard it bounce once on my concrete floor and that was it. Never saw it again.

I'm pretty Type "A" person when it comes to my tools. Must of the time I have to spend when I break one. Not that I have not lost any, but lately been ok. It could be that all tools in my toolbox have a spot if they are not in there the search starts right away. Also I keep them locked up. There's a junkyard box in the garage if my boys or the better half need a hammer, screwdriver, etc.

20 years ago when I was putting the glass body on my screw drivers would disappear. I went to the back yard and there were all my screw drivers. One of my Boston terriers were stealing them and carrying them to the back yard. I found some of the smaller parts back there also.

I can lose tools without leaving a single position sitting on the garage floor. But they eventually turn up when I move the clutter back to it proper places.

Easy to loose tools when you have 5 sons. I have bought enough to furnish all of then with a complete tool box. When I ask if they have mine No way. HAHA

Im missing a little bit of everything. Lots of 1/2" drive sockets gone. My kids are 6(girl) and a 3yearold boy, but they dont go in the closet with dads tools and gun safe. I think the tools grow legs and walk off.

I have a problem with my phillips screwdrivers changing into standards. 3 phillips in the box and twice as many standards than I have ever purchased. Metamorphosis is the only explanation.
