Didn't realize you were joking! My old job was retail/ inventory managment and you'd be surprised and some of the things I saw. My apologies!

Deka are made in the USA, so that's why my last battery was a Deka. Not sure how long it will go, but I'm going to put a tender on it since the Scrambler doesn't get driven much and we shall see.

Tenders are a great idea. I use them on everything. Thanx for reminding me. This parts list just does NOT seem to get any shorter!
Glad we're all cool. I sold cars for awhile. People would show up w/bald tires, stereo missing after wanting more money for these new tires, killer stereos etc..Retail is the sux!

Need a new battery and was looking into the Sears Platinum AGM but none of them fit the stock CJ7 battery tray? the group 34/78DT fits length wise but looks to be a bit wide?
The group 35 would fit but the posts are reversed and it seems a bit much in height...

Was at Oreilly's and their super start extreme agm group 34 measures out good but the warranty is a year shorter (3 versus 4 years)

Any input or ideas? (no Mexican Optimas for me right now)

Die Hard Plat/Odessey

10.9 Inches long
7.8 Inches High
7.875 Inches Wide

Height:7 13/16 inLength:10 inMaintenance Free:Yes Reserve Capacity:100 minTerminal Typeual Termimal Voltage:12 vWeight:41 lbsWidth:6 7/8 inRed Top Optima

10 Inches Long
7 13/16 Inches Tall
6 7/8 Inches Wide

Given the amount of space left in my battery tray (currently have Optima Red Top) I would think the minor size difference would not be an issue with the Die Hard Plat. Measure your battery tray to be sure.

The tray is 6 13/16 wide....looks like the diehard plat. group 34/78dt is too wide to fit and the group 35 has the posts on the wrong side...

I know people on this board run Die Hard Plat/ Odyssey batts on their CJ's. Start a new thread and ask which one fits.
