Lokar shifter

Can anyone tell me if they have a Lokar Shifter in their jeep? I am looking to put on in my jeep, but don't know what kind to get. I have a CJ 7 with a TH 400. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Have you checked the pricing on them? I was thinking about getting one for my 727, but after seeing close to $400 I think I can spend my money better else where.

I found one for 190.00 on ebay

I've got one on my 4L60E... Worked great so far.

Dang - guess I'll have to start checking ebay for the one I need. Looks like a nice setup.

how long is at .i was looking to get a 16" one and was in hard to put in and is it a cable shifter

Mine is a direct shifter on the tranny. Not too bad at all and Lokar has good customer support if you have questions.. I think mine is a 16" but dont quote me...its been a while. One of these days I'll have to wire up the reverse lights on it...

Summit racing has them for about 200.00. I am thinking about installing one next month while I have my TF999 out.

I have one on my 4l60E, different from kickingprop's. I think he has the nostalgia. I have the 16" one. It can be seen here. Lokar: Automatic Transmission Shifters I love it, and paid $200 from summit.

That's the one I have been eye'ing. For the OP, it looks like they make a cable version for the TH-400. Wonder if the cable connection is better than the linkage version? Lokar: Cable Operated Automatic Transmission Shifters

cables can go bad. Heard more positives about the linkage kit, so I went with it. Not a problem to speak of yet.

Cool - didn't even think to look at Summit first. Course mines not quite at $200, but $265 is far better then the $400 plus on Lokar's site.....:D
