lift shackels sway

should there be some side to side movement. if so how much is to much.

help us. you say lift shackles...how tall/long? are the springs reattached? if the springs aren't attached, and the shackles are just hanging, you shouldn't get much side-to-side at all. pics? do you have the right size bolt for the shackle and spring eye? use a nylock nut and tighten just snug to the shackle, this will allow for the shackle to "swing" freely. the only side-to-side should be what the bushing allows for deflection(rubber will give more than the poly ones). if the suspension is all put together, and when you turn the steering wheel, there will probably be some movement side-to-side. this is a whole other issue to address. if the shackles give side-to-side, you can get the "death wobble" while driving. i hope some of this helps. show some pics.
