This one will be shortly.

I need some info from 8274 owners, how do you compensate for the balance issue? It my only matter to me since I am mounting it on an extention but the gear set side is much heavier than the coaster side. Has anyone mounted it offset to have it balanced?

I know I'm nuts.

Mine's pretty well balanced with the steel cable.

I never knew you could get them as an option? Were they factory or dealer installed? What years?

From what I hear they were dealer installed. Not sure of the years, but my '73 has one with the Jeep logo on it. I guess mine could have been a "late" '73 model with an 8274 on it, since the 8274 didn't come out until '74? Or, mine was added by a PO at some point later...

Either way, I think its cool having one with the Jeep logo!

I hung mine on my new setup the other night. Got quite the work out holding the 8274 in place with one hand, and starting the bolts with the other.

I popped mine on the front bumper to see how it would look. Working on a re-build and sourcing a mount.

Bumper is all sand blasted and painted. Should be able to bolt it on next week.
