Let's see your tuffy stereo consoles, wiring, stereo, etc

Anyone got pics of any sort of sound system, amp mounting, speaker location, etc? I saw a thread (I thought it was Ken4444) and he had a nice looking set up, but looking to get some other ideas too!

Thanks

Here's mine. Amp is inside console, but not secured yet.
Speakers are pioneer waterproof.
Had to drill a hole to run iPod wire into locking console.

I made these pods for 6 1/2's last year. They work surprising well.

Thanks,
I got the idea from a wake board forum. I scaled them down a bit. Wake board pods are bigger. It's a 6" PVC end cap from Home Depot. Muffler clamps and some standoffs I got from work for the mount. I used 3/4" wood square dowel to mount the speakers in the cap.

That's a great thought to use a tower mount idea like on the sport boats. I'll have to give that some thought.

ha i wont knock you for that setup! im out of the hard hitting stuff now i gotta have room for the baby but i had a dodge ram ex cab with 14" lift and 44's i took back seat out and put 4-jlw2's in it and it blew the back glass out at world hi-fi's parking lot. that system in a jeep you setup would take your breath away if it didnt blow the Top off the cj! looked good man.

Anywho, back to original thread request, i have two 6x9's in rear on fenders, two 5.25" speakers in dash, and after i put my side pipes on i pulled my console out and added a 6.5" in the top of it to share between driver and passenger. came out quite nicely, had a few ask where i bought the console because it looked as it were made into it. this weeks project for a little bump. the rear cupholder in my console can lift out and is an empty hole underneath. im gonna take console back out and mount a small amp and 8" sub in back side of console firing toward rear seat.
Heres the 6.5" i added in console. ive got another brand new 6.5" sony xplod if anyone else wants to add it. ill sell it for $30 with grille cover

This is a picture of my console while I was replacing my carpet, so no seat in the way. You can see the wires bundled and leading to the console in front of it. My amp is bolted to the bottom side of the console, it fit just right under there. The CB is attached to the back side of the console.

Preparing to revamp mine a bit, but as it currently sits:

Masterac console with older Sony Mobile ES head unit (have an interface box for it that plugs into USB port on a PC and installs in Windows as a set of speakers...will by tying in a CarPC for Nav and MP3's):

CD changer (which will be going bye-bye), AudioControl ESP-2 and EpiCenter in the console:

Mod Pods with Jensen 5 1/4" which have since been replaced with JBL components:

Thor Soundwedges with Alpine 6x9's (not sure if those speakers will stay or not):

AudioControl EQQ (classic piece) and a couple of MTX amps (don't recall the models now) under the rear seat and there's an older Kicker Solabaric 10" in a down-firing box under the Instatrunk (I have some L series that will be replacing that):
