Don't mean to hijack, but I think that colour may be original. Here's a shot from my original '75 Jeep brochure. The colour may be the Dark Honey Metallic on the top right in the Pic.

Really nice Jeep there, and I do love that colour!

in 1980 they also had a carmel color. im trying to determine which color it is,,, it looks great
