Gerbil!? Gerbil.....

I think I'll call you Buttons. No, maybe Squeaky!

OMG... this has completely made my day.

I would also include a screenshot of said admission from this website.

An investigation would ensue and Certain Automotive would have their ability to administer state inspections revoked or they would be fined heavily. At $14.95 per inspection, that adds up, and I'd be willing to bet that the owner of Certain Automotive wouldn't be very happy about losing that much profit and have no choice but to give poor Jacob McDonald his walking papers.

But, since our national unemployment is high enough, and it is the holidays, I'm certain that young Jacob wouldn't mind saying, "Sorry guys, I don't know what the hell I'm talking about and I'll be sure not brag about being a law-breaking idiot ever again" will suffice.

THIS is what happens, when you're retired from the Army, worked for NSA and have lots and lots of time on your hands.
NSA is a joke no offense you might agree

I bet the post are edited or the thread is gone before sundown.

Edit --> I removed my quotes of the statements. Didn't think about that if they edit them the info would still show since I quoted it.
If it was a big concern they could call the website owner or i.t people whoever and have them email it to them. They'd however need a warrant which I doubt they'd be able to get because the lead I'd well pretty lousy. They'd most likely just show up to his work place for a random check and gander at the cars and look for his. Unno though. Depends how desperate Texas is for money.

However all and all its pretty stupid to admit it on a forum. Someone here could work for the government and feel like making someone's life turn to worse. Its really just dumb admitting about a crime to anybody. You'd have your licenses to do the emissions stripped and a hefty fine and court that you won't be able to psy for because you'll have no job. Then you'll be so far in debt and trying to find a job in a season were almost all employers freeze hiring people. So on and so on just pointing out how something so small you can write on a forum can cone back and make you're life go to **** quick. That's like me saying Im a dea agent and I grow weed in my spare bedroom.

Hardy har har. Go take some pictures of your feet, or something...

Actually, I'm building an impressive list...Gerbil, Knucklehead, Idiot, Moron, among others. Heck, it's better than being ignored.

Did you get your house back together, yet, Skipper?

That escalated quickly! Brick killed a guy! I'm up in northwestern Indiana and I live one of the two counties in Indiana where emissions testing is required. Here, it doesn't matter what year your vehicle is, they still have to pass emissions unless you get the antique car exemption. To get the exemption you have to have antique car insurance. It actually works out really for since antique car insurance is way cheaper than my old insurance.

Also, I had pet gerbil for years. She was a loving and loyal pet. Her name was Hulk Hogan. I was 6. Then the cat ate her.

Flynes, I double checked with my instructor and he told me that they only do emissions testing on vehicles starting with 1984 and up which is the year that cats are required for a state inspection. I was mistaken and I do apologize. I don't live in an emissions county and was only going off my understanding of their testing. Besides, only thing on my YJ that won't pass is the fact that it has no cat, lol, everything else is legal on it.

EDIT: I would have replied sooner but was busy with work yesterday and then had my laundry to do and a few other things around the house.

Your apology is accepted, and I appreciate that you were man enough to admit you were wrong.

I really don't care that your YJ has no cat; what irked me was the way you wrote your post. No one is above the law, regardless of their position.

Problem solved, my post has been deleted as promised.

Technically, I don't think you have it quite right, yet.

For 1984 and later vehicles, the CAT is tested under the Emissions section of the Safety Inspection. See section 20.14 of the law.

For vehicles older than 1984, but still originally equipped with a CAT, the CAT is visually inspected under the Exhaust section of the Safety Inspection. See section 20.15 of the law.

I'm not trying to beat a dead horse, just trying to clarify for those who are impacted by the regulations.
