latch conversion

I was looking at the hardparts section of my 4wd drive hardware catalog and saw a door latch bracket kit for 81-95 cj and wrangler. I would like to know if these can easily be put on a 78' jeep to convert it to late latches for safari doors and late model handles and if anyone has done this conversion. Thanks in advance Johnathon
