"Last of a Great Breed" Registry

Update: Post The last 5 digits of your VIN. Lets see who can get closest to the last one made.

This thread is for those of us who have a "Last of a Great Breed" CJ7 to post pictures, and share information about the few produced.

I dont know much of them, but I have read on some other posts that approx. the last 1500 CJ's came with the plaque

Please post pictures any Information you may have.

Please, Only 86 jeeps that came with the plaque originally. No ebay bought plaques.

Here is a pic of my plaque that has fallen off.

FYI

The plague for the last of the 1986 model year would be mounted above the left speaker of the dash and not above the volt/oil pressure gauges as pictured.

Call Chrysler and ask. I believe it is the red one they display at the Auto Show.

This is how NAXJA Midwest Chapter elected officials like to treat their resident users and former multi-year supporters.

Yes, that is correct. I saw that red CJ-7 at an auto show in Detroit about 15 years ago and it was the very last one that came off the assembly line in 1986. I have a picture of it somewhere taken with one of those disposable Kodak cameras and I'm sure it is filed away in the attic in a shoebox.

Hi,

I have that plaque original in my 1985 CJ.
With that plaque it also follows a four page folder who tells more about the "Last of a Great Breed" and some pictures.
I`ll get some picture of the dash with the plaque and the folder.

Mine's an '86, but it was in several pieces when I bought it. The Dashboard had been thrown out so I have no Idea if it is one of the last 1500 or not.

1977 - CJ7.......1979 CJ7.......1981 - CJ8.......1986 CJ7 Cant get enough!
