Just got a cj5, throttle problem

I'm not new to jeeps, I've owned a lot of Cherokees, this is my first 1974 cj5.
It runs great, starts up normal idles great, but if I give it more than half throttle it wants to die. Maybe the carb is gummed up? It has a webber carb with a k&n plate and filter. Read something about a vacuum advance maybe.

Change fuel filter,ck fuel pump psi.
Ck carb float setting and your choke adjustment.
Also check for vacuum leaks.
Tighten ALL of the manifold nuts.
Have'n you along, is like loose'n 2 good men
