just did TFI upgrade...

Awesome... started so fast and idled so smooth, and that's with the carter running crappy... can't wait to get that MC2100 on there...

If you haven't done this for your 258 yet, do it now! Looks like i need a new valve cover gasket too! ...a bit oily under there

The TFI conversion is the sh*t. Made a big difference running wise.

Just wait till you get the motorcraft 2100 on there, you would have never thought your jeep would have ran so well. Did that about a month ago and is the best upgrade on the motor ive done so far. Also if you havent done it yet do the nutter bypass if you can find an article on how to do it, since the nutter guy deleted his info.

You put a ford coil and distributer cap and some other stuff instead of the jeep ones. I don't remember exactly what was involved. But it did make a huge difference. Someone else can fill you in or provide you with a link. Or just search on here for "TFI". Will probably come up with somethin.

I am getting ready to do the TFI upgrade. Did you shop around for the parts and who has the best parts for the money. I checked Pep Boys here in CA so far around 125.00 for all new parts.

That must be with the "premium" coil or something... i got the regular one, it was around $17, i spent about $65 for everything...
