Ok guys and gals, I was over at a friends house to buy a camper and there it was. About all I know is it's 2 wheel drive, and has a CJ style front end, it's a manual transmission, possible 4? cylinder. Oh and it's red LOL!!!

Ya that's why the guys isn't keeping it. It was one of those drunk at the bar buys LOL.
In away the front kinda looks like one of those mail truck jeeps, no roll bar, no top.
I got it and a pop up camper for cheap!!!! I offered to take it cause he was just going to crush it. I thought it would make a nice crusier to the pool/bathroom at my friends camping area.

We are going to possibly pick up this weekend or during the week we will see.

Is the steering wheel on the right side? I don't think any CJs were made in 2WD that were not DJs...

Are you sure its actually a 2WD and not a 4WD.. is the front axle straight? Take a look underneath.. is there a transfercase?

Of course the biggest give away is if the steering wheel is on the right..

Steering defently on the right side, for sure it's only 2 wd cause they would have kept it. From the pictures that I was looken at on the internet the front end looks the same as the DJ styles. Where the grill sticks out a bit farther than the hood and no lower lights from the head lights.
It's is a manual transmission from what I gather from what I found on the net, sounds like a 3 speed on the floor???
My first thoughts were that it was a mail trcuk that someone hacked up but the rear wheel tubs are rounded not straight across. Also the rear corners are round with round tail lights the flush mount type, those may have been added.

I'm working on going to get it and some pictures.

I finally got a chance to go check out that Jeep that I got. It is a old mail jeep, it has a 232 with an automatic in it. They guy says that revrse is out, not a big deal cause know some people that can fix it. Did some checken and looks to be 75 to 78 dj5d or dj5f.

Does this have point style ignition, or some type of electronic?
What types of things can go wrong with this unit, just asken cause wanting to use it camping to run up to the club house and want it depenable enough to make a 3 mile trip.
