Hey Eric. Thanks for asking. Yes, everything is OK. My wife and I took 17 students to London and Paris over the Spring Break. I didn't want to announce that my home was vacated for 2 weeks!! Of course it would have been safe because the only people reading this are Jeep crazy and great forum members. We're back now and work will continue now!

Thanks. I'm happy to see you have the tach working properly, now, too.
I picked up my two JD2 die sets and the HD windshield frame coming back across the border from the Europe trip. The dies are going to last me the rest of my life. The frame... that's another story. JCWhitney advertised it as HD, but it sure is lame.
Now if my future rig only was running like yours... I'd be grinning ear to ear.

Well, off to the garage I go for part of the day. I turned the heat back up last night so today the twin-stick shifting levers will get finished off. Bead blast, a final de-grease (my glass bead is now quite dirty) priming and painting for today.
Now that the dies are here I can begin planning in earnest the tube fenders, the tube seat frames, the roll bar, perhaps tranny and engine mounts ala Jim1611 style, the rear Gen-Right style tire carrier and front winch/bumper and stinger assembly. Woohoo!
I've finally been able to put into words the build process.
Real work on current job/task/assembly
while
Researching ahead for the tasks 2 or 3 steps ahead- what do I want, and, how do i do it so that i can afford it?
while
Shopping for equipment and parts for current jobs and the next jobs to begin.
while
Keeping the flow orderly and not too expensive...
Everything should be easier pretty soon as the weather is warming up. I'll be able to keep the garage door open sometimes and not alway be freezing while making shavings and debris!

Nope. Our students were models of perfect manners and behaviour. Imagine trying to get 17 students, with only two adults for help, through the busy metro stations in Paris and the tube stations in London!! They were motivated to stay close and to listen to instructions.
They had to be responsible for themselves and each other...
We did promise to bring them home dead tired, so our plan is always the same. Wake them up at 6:00 or 6:30. Never return to the hotel until 10:30 or 11:00 each night, and to walk their legs off each and every day!
Here are two pics of the carnage 10 pm or so on the steps of St. Paul's Cathedral.
Well... We did take them to the pub for lunch!!
Right before visiting the Prime Minister on Downing Street!
The police weren't too happy about that pic... Two shook their heads a while a third gave tacit approval. Good enough for me!

Been wondering what you've been doing Jim. You gonna let a little snow slow you down and don't talk about getting too old either.
