Jim's cj5 build up

Hey guys, Let me show you my new jeep i've bought this winter. 1973 cj-5 with 360 amc .. Dana 44's etc.. this is when i got it

Next will be on the mecanic and suspention

Changing the old 360 amc for an 1995 4L stroker (4.9)
4:56 Differenciel gears

Front Air bag suspention
Anti-rock sway bar ..

the 360 is going for a fresh rebuilt a the shop ... I will try to make something with 400-500 hp .. In the cj it will be a TBI 4L because i'm doing more rock crawl than mud... The AMC 360 will go in my yj instead.. the 4L will devlop somewhere betweer 400 and 410 hp 430-450 lbs/torque.. its enought to detroy my poor d44's... Up next 38x12,5xr15

do you know what color green that was before you repainted it? and glad to hear that your keepin the 360. i couldnt go from a v-8 to a i-6 thats just me tho

I've Exploded my Ring, pinion and Heart in my back dana 44 last time. So ill buy 4:56 Now, Mabye an arb air locker. Dont know if i want to put some money in that d44. If, yes ARB if no SPOOL !!!

That tube on the rear quarters looks awesome. How is that welded on? Just to the sheet metal? Or does it have some hidden reinforcement?
