Brother would be better, that way you don't have another mouth to feed

Thanks Rich. You guesses it on the table. Paid $100.00 and just put the legs under it. The top is machined flat. Sure makes it easy to keep things flat. The place I get my steel from had a scrap of 6" x 6" x 1" angle iron so I bought it and cut it into 6" long pcs. One is shorter. I machined them all sqaure on every side and will cut some slots in them for bolting them to the welding table. I figure they'll be handy for clamping and holding stuff square while I tack weld it in place.

Jim, I would have swore you said you were using a carb on the 5.0

If you think it will be remotely possible you will use fuel injection or even just an electric pump, think about a sump or baffles in the tank.

Changed my mind. I'll have baffles built into the tank. I also plan to have the pump in the tank. They run cooler that way. You don't have to have it that way to get the gas to the engine with the Ford though.

Hi Andy!
No I haven't done anything to it. Been too busy with paying work in the shop to take time for it but that's now changed and work has slowed down so I do plan to get busy again soon. Dropped the parts off at the machine shop this week so they can assemble the short block so I ought to have that back in a couple of weeks. More money to spend then, new clutch and pressure plate before the engine goes in and need an intake too.

Hey Jim, let me know if you might be interested in a Cobra intake upper & lower like Mike (Coiz) has. Thanks.

Been a while since posting anything but I have gotten a few more things further along. Allot of the fuel tank work is done, and I'll post some pictures of that in a day or two. I've got a long block now. Still need the Cobra GT40 intake and a few other things.

The machine shop painted the block a Ford blue, a darker one than I'm familiar with. I'm going to do it all over again after the water pump is bolted on and will likely go back to the regular Ford blue.
