Introduction : 85 cj7

Here are a few before and after shots of my 85 cj7. I bought this last July and drove it how it was for the rest of the summer. During that time, I tracked down some full and half doors and a hardtop. Last winter, I decided to pull it apart and fix what little rust was there and paint it. I also did a lot of mechanical refurbishing while it was apart.(too much to list) It has a SBC with a T176 and a Dana 300. Stock axles with 1 piece axles in the rear. I am pleasantly surprised at how well this thing drives on the street. Anyway, here's a couple pics from the day I brought it home.

Nice! What brand seats you have in it?

That does look nice. I got a white 86, but yours is whiter than mine. :-)

Thank you! The seats are the reclining Rugged Ridge vinyl seats. I got them on Ebay from Toms 4x4. They look nice, and are fairly comfortable, but as always, you get what you pay for. Overall, I'm happy with them for the price. If they last 4 or 5 years I'll be satisfied.

Thanks for the compliments. I'll get a couple pictures of the motor. It really isn't that special.

The ammo can and tweed seats were the first thing that had to go. The ammo can was totally useless. I could never get the lid pried off till I took it out, and the cup holders were too small for anything to fit in. the previous owner was quite the engineer/mechanic. But that's a whole other story.
