J-man, Thats a great rate! Down here in Lousyana we get raped by the insurance companies...I'm 36 and for Liability only I pay $468 every six months. When I lived in Illinois my Insurance was $40 a month and down here its double. I guess when you live in a depressed state they have to make the money any way they can!

I know what you mean. I have one jeep in east AR (poor) and it's listed as a farm vehicle, and I have the other jeep in NW AR (good economy) and it's listed as a pleasure vehicle. The one in east AR costs me about $100 MORE/ year to insure. I thought it was a mistake, but the insurace company said it's due to a higher # of uninsured motorists, higher # of lawsuits, and more accidents in that area of the state (guess us poor people are supposedly bad drivers?). Anyhow, it makes me mad but what are you gonna do?

Mine runs $58.00/3 months (KY) for part time driver (40). It's not too bad. I like the $15.00 annual lincense cost.
