Triangleman-
I am 100% positive that is my Dad's old jeep!!!! Awesome to see it on here!! Did you just get it or have you had it for around a year!?!?!
He sold it just over a year ago though and it didn't have that bumper on it. If you just recently got it, the guy he sold it to must have sold it to you.
I spent the day today snow bashing through my parents neighborhood streets and my Dad and I were talking about Jeeps. I keep trying to talk him into getting a new one and keep asking how much he misses his CJ7. It got me thinking tonight and I decided to browse the CJ section of the forum and lo and behold I find a pic of it after 10 minutes of looking!!!
Crazy!!! sorry kinda random......
Hope its treating you well!!

JCro99,
Yeah I think your right. I just got the jeep from a guy in Dec. I have done just a few modifications to it. Mostly engine stuff and that's it. I'm not going to chop it up or anything crazy. So, was your dad the original owner? Just kinda curious. The guy I got it from said that the previous owner (your dad I assume) had the engine rebuilt do you know anything about that? I'm just wanting as much history about the jeep I can. Nothing wrong major with the jeep at all. I changed the carb and a few minor things under the hood since I have had it.
If you can dig up some more pictures of anything about the jeep would be sweet.
Tell your dad it's down here in Pueblo and still in Colorado and will be well taken care of!!! Took the white dot stickers off too!!!

I might ditch the bumper later. I have the other bumper in the garage. It's Bent a bit from the PO. So I put that one on until I find another one. Not sure if I like it either but it's on there for now!

How cool is it that the previous owners son found you on here. I sold my built race car that I owned for the past 11 years about two years ago and I keep waiting for it to surface on other forums but haven't seen anything yet. Anyway thats a pretty sweet rig you got there. I like that bumper on there, maybe you should keep it.

Thanks, Yeah I keep going back and forth on that bumper. I keep wondering what it would look like with some lights on and and a winch. So, for now it will stay!

Hey,
My dad was the second owner of the jeep. He bought in '88 or '89, he can't remember. It had 35k miles on it then. He had the engine rebuilt in 2000, it had 115k when it was rebuilt. I guess he gave most of the paperwork to the guy he sold it to, but he did have this
Other history on it:
Well I learned how to drive in this jeep, both street driving and offroad. I used to sit on my dads lap and steer!! Haha. Then when I was older, this was the first stick shift I learned.
We took it to Moab a few times.
I used to borrow it to go 4 wheeling and when he sold it I had nothing to use, so I ended up getting my TJ because he sold it!!
Ummm what else.... That's about all I can think of.... He are some more pics...
I took this pic!!
