Ignition problems looking at upgrade

Hey guys, Before i start i would like to say i did search but i am still confused

What i have is a 86 CJ-7, it originally had the 258 but the PO swapped in a 304 from a 76' CJ. I just bought this jeep about a week ago dissembled and i just got it back together and it is looking like the pick up coil is junk. So in searching and reading i have found theres alot of different ways to upgrade the ignitions on these.

Now my question is what all do i need to do the swap to the newer 79' distributor? I am currently running the crappy prestolite system. The newer MC ignition box is still installed on the jeep under the washer bottle. What wiring should i look for that i need to make the swap. Thanks in advance

Do a search for Team Rush. There is a complete parts list out there.
