Ignition Module wires?

I have a 1986 CJ with the 2.5 four cylinder. It has the motorcraft module under the washer fluid reservoir. Their are two plugs that connect to it. My problem is with the plug that only has two wires. Coming out of the two wire plug back to the module is a white wire and a pink(or red hard to tell). The white wire goes into the module the pink wire is broke off not connecting to anything. Where does it go? I was looking under the hood at the mess of wires. I moved some of them around while looking and now it won't start.

If you search Duraspark II you should find plenty of wiring diagrams with a description of each wire.

The white wire and red wire are the ignition primary wires.

The white is hot during a start the red receives the hot when you disengage the starter.

I believe the white is a 10 deg ignition retard. If I remember correctly at least on the 258 engine that white wire may also be hotted up by the ecu to control knock.

Would this explain why it seems to run if I keep the starter going, but as soon as I let off it shuts off. I couldn't see where the wire broke off the ignition module but pics from the internet show it to go into the module. I don't know if the wire broke today causing it not to run.
