Judging by the GP Sorensen Logo, I'd say ignition control.

The first one is the ignition module, a Prestolite ignition used in I-6 and V-8 equipped Jeeps from '74 through '77.

The second one is a voltage regulator for the Motorcraft alternator only used on '76 & '77 V-8 engines.
----------------

'74 & '75,
V-8 engines used a Prestolite or Motorola alternator that used a different kind of regulator,

'74 - '77,
I-6 engines used a Delco 10 SI alternator that has an INTERNAL regulator, so no external regulator needed.

REMEMBER,
'Free' internet information is worth EXACTLY what you paid for it!
