I'm blessed here to have a "Jeep Junkyard" in Austin. Anyways go down to your local junk yard and look at other jeeps for ideas.

I just made new front and rear bumpers for my 84 CJ7 using 1/4 plate steel, a sawsall and a MIG welder. I will try and post pictures asap for you. you start at the mount ing points and work from there.

I started to build mine this last weeken. Made it out of 1/4 inch plate and 2x4 steel tubing. Spaced it out 2 inches from the x-member. Will eventually make a swing out carrier for it. Search the web for jeep bumpers, lots of ideas out there.
