Help.....

Can some one ID this part and what connects to it (80 CJ-7)

Didn't take pics prior to frame off.

It looks like the PO may have welded that piece on there for something but I don't have a clue what for. Maybe someone else might know?

Kind of tough to see (at least on my monitor). A better pic would help.

Looks like an exhaust hanger?

M60 light Machine Gun mount. Got two of them on mine, Plus a 50 Cal. swivel mount in the center.

Not heavy enough for a 50 mount and a M60 and 240's use a pintal style mount.

Sorry about the pic but it faces to the rear of the jeep.

True. Could be a mount for a M249, though. If so, you should add one just like it on the opposite side of the Jeep.
