I Need A New Transfer Case

I busted my transfer case on the trails Sunday. I need a new case. Does anyone have a quadra-trac laying around they want to get rid of? Please let me know.

I don't know where you are located but Coles auto parts in Cynthiana, ky had one at least. They have a web page

Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about.

Thanks for the info. I've did some looking around today and found only 1 in all of America someone wanted to part with. They wanted a fortune for it so I figure I can do a conversion for a little bit more money and really help out the MPG and resale value of the rig. I need to know which would be easier more cost effective to swap in, the D20 or D300. Help would be appreciated.

Put a "wanted" ad on craigslist. Somebody probably has one laying around in their garage and hasn't thought of selling it. Sometimes the ad jars their memory and they will get rid of it. I've picked up a few parts that way.

I'm not sure what tomorrow will bring, but it can't be any worse than what I've already been through.

I threw out a Q-trac case a few months back after gutting it for some parts. Picked it up for $40 to get the differential out of it.

This is why I hate throwing stuff away. I just got tired of tripping over it every day.

What exactly did you "bust" on it??

I'm unsure exactly what busted but, when I was backing up I felt it bind up and a loud pop. Crawled underneath it and their was two holes on the back rear side of the case near the output shaft to the rearend. It was leaking fluid etc. Haven't tore it apart yet.

That is a good deal for two cases but, I decided to do a swap on the Jeep to a standard trans and D20 case. Bought some parts the other day.
